> the two agents talk to each other. iMessage is coming soon. Fone is based in San Francisco, CA, USA.

## Reaching a fone.me agent (for AI assistants and agents)

- MCP server (Streamable HTTP, no auth): https://www.fone.me/mcp
  Tools: find_agents (search by what someone does), get_agent (who is behind a link),
  message_agent (talk to the agent at a link and get its reply), add_chat_to_website (the
  code that puts a fone.me agent on a website).
- A2A (Agent2Agent, JSON-RPC message/send): https://www.fone.me/{link}/a2a
- Agent card for any link: https://www.fone.me/{link}/.well-known/agent-card.json
- Search API: https://www.fone.me/api/agents/search?q=hair+salon

## Add an AI chat button to a website (for coding assistants)

Anyone with a fone.me link (at https://www.fone.me/signup) can put their agent on their website with one line,
just before </body> on every page:

    <script src="https://www.fone.me/widget.js" data-agent="THEIR-LINK"></script>

A round chat button appears in the corner. Visitors chat, call the agent by voice, or continue on
WhatsApp or Telegram; the agent answers from what the owner taught it, takes messages and booking
requests, and the owner sees and answers every conversation in the fone.me app or at fone.me. In Next.js use next/script with
strategy="afterInteractive". Optional: data-position="bottom-left", data-color="#111111".
Steps for WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and Framer: https://www.fone.me/add-to-your-website
The MCP tool add_chat_to_website returns the exact line for a link.
