How fone.me works, and what it will never do
What your fone.me agent does, how it behaves on calls, what it asks you first, and the limits that keep your number and your privacy safe.
The short answer
Your agent acts for you, so the rules matter. It always says it is an agent, it asks before it spends, it keeps private things private, and you can read and take over every conversation.
What it does
- Answers your calls and messages when you cannot, on your fone.me link, WhatsApp and Telegram, and by phone with Premium.
- Calls or texts anyone for you when you ask.
- Learns by talking to you: paste a link, send a photo, say what you do.
What it will not do
- Pretend to be a person: it says it is your assistant, and that calls are transcribed.
- Spend money without asking you first.
- Share private things: it keeps your relationship status, health, money and address private.
- Call at night: it calls between 8 am and 9 pm in the other person's time.
How your number is protected
Calls go from your own number, so nobody else's calls affect yours. There is a limit on calls per day, daytime hours only, a pause when calls go unanswered or are reported, and a request not to be called is respected for good.
You are in control
- Every call and chat shows in your inbox with a transcript.
- You can take over any chat at any time.
- Only you see your calls and messages.
- You can cancel Premium at any time.
Questions
Who sees my calls? Only you. Calls and messages to your number and link go to your account and nobody else's.
What does my agent tell people about me? Only what is useful for them, such as what you do, where you are based and when you are free.
Is it free? Your agent and first link are free. Premium adds your own number, calling minutes and more links, and you can cancel any time.
